The TagWell Foundation’s mission is to make wellness highly social and fully accessible to lower-income communities through the wellness marketplace, TagWell. These areas of the country lack robust wellness programs and healthy lifestyles due to safety concerns, few transportation links, and tight finances.
Many residents of these neighborhoods just can’t afford a monthly gym membership fee. According to CNBC, the average gym membership runs between $40 and $50 on top of the initiation fee, which could add up to approximately $800 per year in gym membership costs. However, with TagWell, residents of these communities will soon have increased access to fun and free activities from fitness to dance, meditation and everything in between to break down this cycle of sedentary living.
The TagWell Foundation also aims to promote the senses of well-being and productivity across underprivileged communities to decrease the crime, gang violence and drug abuse prevalent in these areas. The non-profit organization will use the TagWell digital platform to encourage the communication necessary to develop strong friendships bound by the shared motivation to live healthy, successful, and peaceful lifestyles within these communities.
100% of the proceeds will go to providing underprivileged communities free access to health and wellness programs, activities and events. Together let’s inspire, educate, and motivate people to live healthier and happier and more meaningful lives.
